Hello! Nyob Zoo! Sawasdee!
Join us as Street Stops and Mountain Tops hosts “Sites and Sounds”, a community report and fundraiser. Join us for food, reflections from abroad, and visions for the future as this year’s team gears up for our next journey.
Street Stops and Mountain Tops is a project using the arts to inform, enrich, and empower Hmong students’ lives around the world. This past summer, six SSMT members conducted site visits in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The goal of the site visits were to collect qualitative and quantitative data in preparation for the Unify Trip, where artists teach music, dance and digital media arts to Hmong students in Chiangmai Thailand for two-full weeks.
“Sites and Sounds” will be an opportunity to hear more about the data and stories collected from our community partners. Attendees will hear directly from the August research team and
the powerful stories of aspirations, hopes and dreams of Hmong youth in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Last but not least, come and meet the SSMT team members who will journey for this year’s Unify Trip.
This is a free and family friendly event. Light refreshments and food will be provided. SSMT merchandise and raffle prizes will also be available for purchase (cash or credit). Donations are highly encouraged.
We look forward to see you there. Stay turned for more updates on “Sites and Sounds.”
